This was my first wedding at The Coronado Community Center on Coronado Island. I have for many years heard great things about it, but had yet to have the pleasure of DJ’ing there. It’s an impressive wedding venue offering a very clean, modern and elegant banquet room with the ability of bringin in your own catering and vendors. There is a patio just outside for cocktail hour, and there is a ceremony area on the lawn just beyond that. David and Danni’s wedding was a flawless example of how great planning and great people can lead to some very memorable events.
David and Danni came to find my services through an internet search. They met with me over a year before their wedding date and it was almost instantaneous that they knew I was the right guy for the job. We had a great time at the meeting talking about music, itinerary and all things wedding. We had discussed possibly using some uplighting, which later came to fruition; a wireless speaker on the patio for cocktail hour, and many other things that would make the entertainment service tailored to their wedding venue and their wants and needs.
In the months to come, I found that Danni was an extremely organized bride. She had sent me a swatch to color match the LED lighting to the banquet room, as we further discussed the itinerary, music and layout. Being that Danni and David live in Arizona there was a lot of emails and remote planning back and forth. We were able to get to the bottom of exactly what they were looking for.
The day of couldn’t have gone more flawless. We had some very fun bridal introductions, where we told a bit of story about each member of the wedding party as they were announced into the room. Later on, we had some traditional Greek music and Greek dancing for David’s side of the family and by the time we were in our “open dance set” later in the evening, David and his closest friends were having a blast dancing to dubstep! With so much eclectic music, there was never a moment when the dance floor didn’t have people on it, having a blast.
David and Danni were such a sweet, kind, gracious and organized couple. They were such a treat to DJ for and I enjoyed every minute of it. They chose a beautiful venue, great vendors and they really knew how to relax on the day of and just take it all in. I really appreciate your trust and business, and it seems they appreciated my services as well! Here is what they had to say on “yelp.com“:
Planning a wedding from out of town can be stressful and overwhelming. However, the day we met Matt, we knew that he was the right guy for the job. He was very responsive with all of our questions and offered the best options to fit our needs and budget. He went above and beyond to work with us for almost a year before the event to make sure everything was going to be perfect. I did a lot of research prior to interviewing Matt and it all paid off. He was able to customize a great wedding plan for our particular needs. The day of the wedding, he was on time and ready to go. Everything went smoothly from the ceremony, to the happy hour, to the inside festivities. Matt made sure everyone was having a great time and kept everything on track. He played all our requests that ranged from Greek folk music to Dubstep and filled in the gaps with great songs that kept the party going. We could not have been happier with our decision and everyone had the the time of their lives at our wedding. Don’t even look anywhere but Choice Entertainment, all the five star reviews don’t lie.
