Matthew Phipps began his professional DJ career at the young age of nineteen, working for companies such as Advanced Entertainment and Musically Yours or "My DJ's" throughout San Diego.  Coming from a background in customer service and an employee of Wells Fargo bank, it was a seamless transition into the entertainment industry.  Although being trained by seasoned professionals in the business and the Vice President of ABC (American Bridal Consultants) and owner of the popular wedding venue Paradise Gardens, his musical background is not limited to the Mobile DJ and entertainment industry.

At the age of 5 years old, Matthew began studying music theory as a musician; guitar and voice.  In his teen years Matt had several bands throughout San Diego that received much attention in the local music scene, and even a battle of the bands best of year in a San Diego county wide competition.  Matt attended Mira Costa College to study Music Theory and recording arts through their two year AA program.  In addition to playing local music with various projects, Matt has also done songs for NBC and producer Bobby Summerfield (who is known for producing artists Paula Abdul, Harry Belefonte and Michael Jackson).  Matt is credited to songs like "Starlight" "Is She Really There?" and "Over Your Head" which have appeared on TV shows and commercials nationwide.  Matt belongs to ASCAP which is the professional association of songwriters.  Currently Matt plays around San Diego in various musical projects and is working towards releasing another self-produced album of acoustic/rock music.
